Rachel is one of my oldest friends. We've been friends since we were little kids, and she became one of my closest friends in middle school. After high school, Rachel took what seems like a dozen life transitions (3-4 colleges and degree changes in the span of 2 years). Eventually, she said she wanted to be a sports reporter on the news. I thought that sounded hilarious.
I helped her film a video to enter into a sportscaster competition with the Kansas City Chiefs. Out of thousands of entries, she won. That launched her into pursuing journalism, dropping out of school to get a TV job in middle-of-no-where Nebraska, and eventually to a major news station in Kansas City. I couldn't be more blown away- and proud.
Along the way, she met Ross, they dated for a couple years, and now they're engaged. She gets married in Mexico in Summer of 2017, so I offered to take some engagement photos for her. I refused to photograph her terrible dog, Bruno, but she insisted and it turned out great.
